In a significant development, Manoj Jarange Patil, the leader of the Maratha reservation movement, announced the conclusion of the agitation following successful talks with the Maharashtra government. The Maratha movement, which had regained momentum in the state, took a new turn on Friday night after extensive discussions between the government delegation and Jarange Patil.
The Shinde government asserts that a resolution has been reached, indicating the government's acceptance of the activist's demands. Jarange Patil himself confirmed the breakthrough, expressing appreciation for Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's efforts, stating, "Our protest is now over. Our request has been accepted. I will drink juice from the hands of the Chief Minister today."
